The Land of the Giant Trees is a Winter Wonderland! Wolverton Snow Play area is open and ready to accommodate snow fun loving seekers for snow man building, sledding, saucer sliding, inner tubing, and snowball fights. The road is plowed all the way to Wuksachi Village; Giant Forest Museum is open everyday, and the Sequoia Trees are majestic in the snowy winter beauty. Snow chains can be required at any time and are available for rent in several places in town. Weekend guided snow shoe walks are available at Giant Forest Museum on a first come first served basis, (reservations are available) they are free, and the snow shoe equipment is also free. You can also go cross country skiing with your own equipment, or for rent in the park. The cross country skiing trails have been called the most beautiful in the world. Take
